Honda's 552cc 3-cylinder engine combines Honda's world-renowned reliability with instant throttle response and extraordinary smooth, stable and quiet operation.
The BF25 has standard a flywheel-driven ventilation system, providing high cooling efficiency within the engine cover. Standard on all tiller handle models is Honda's exclusive multi-function tiller handle, featuring the indicator lamp, throttle control, power trim & tilt switch and gear shift lever all on the tiller handle.

BF30
Honda's BF30 has 552cc of displacement distributed over three cylinders and offers excellent power, idling, throttle response, fuel economy and overall performance.
The BF30 has standard, a flywheel-driven ventilation system that provides high cooling efficiency within the engine cover. The engine boasts an excellent power-to-weight-ratio with its 72.5kg weight combined with a strong 30hp at 6000rpm.
Standard on all tiller handle models is Honda's exclusive multi-function tiller handle, featuring the indicator lamp, throttle control, power trim & tilt switch and gear shift lever all on the tiller handle. The BF30 is also available in a remote control option for small runabouts and sport fishing boats. Honda's industry leading integrated warning system protects the engine from severe damage due to low oil, over-revving and over-heat situations. The standard freshwater flush port allows easy flushing of the engine to clear debris and salt water, extending the life of the outboard.

BF40
Honda's completely-redesigned BF40 and BF50 EFI four-strokeoutboard engines have arrived!
Retaining their class-leading lightweight and compact styling,the new engines are enhanced with electronic fuel injection,Honda's revolutionary Boosted Low Speed Torque (BLAST™) air/fuel ratio and ignition-timing technology, and Lean Burn Control to deliver powerful start-up and acceleration together with outstanding fuel economy during cruising.
BLAST™, along with a newly-designed, streamlined gear case and other improvements, contributes to greater acceleration and a higher top speed, while Lean Burn Control results in a 22% improvement in fuel economy over the previous models.
Battery charging capacity has also been increased to 17amps – over 1.7 times that of the previous BF40 and BF50.
The new models are compatible with Honda's latest general purpose engine diagnostic system (Dr H) and also feature a new one-touch plastic cap, which permits easy inspection of anode wear inside the engine, for significantly improved ease of maintenance.
Consistently leading the world in environmental performance, Honda has also managed to reduce noise levels by 1.0dB over previous models through such improvements as a longer exhaust pipe and an optimised rib design inside the upper portion of the extension case.
Both models exhibit outstanding environmental performance and exceed: 2008 CARB emissions standards – the most stringent in the world; US EPA standards for 2006; and domestic Japanese voluntary regulations.
As is the case with every other model in Honda's outboard engine range, the new BF40 and BF50 also achieve the Outboard Engine Distributors Association's (OEDA) three-star rating for ultra low emissions.

This high-torque, three-cylinder engine features smooth and quiet performance and very low hydrocarbon emissions.Standard electric start and a digital CDI ignition system provides instant and reliable starting in hot or cold weather. A high-capacity intake silencer substantially reduces intake noise while a resin cylinder head cover takes care of high-frequency noise.
The BF50 is available in standard, long and extra long shaft lengths allowing for a wider range of boat applications. Comfortable Cruising
The BF50 features a unique design which positions the crankshaft and flywheel assembly directly above the pivot shaft. This gives exceptionally smooth idle and a reduction in overall vibration for smoother running.
Easy on Fuel
Honda engines are powerful on performance and low on fuel consumption to offer quiet, clean and fuel-efficient operation. The BF50 consumes up to 50% less fuel on average than a conventional 2-stroke engine. So you can go further and stay longer.
